The Bike I love!!!

Since early teenage, I am looking at bikes, all makes ......... to visualize one day I'll ride my own.
And now that I am exposed to quite many of them (I believe) through auto expo, bike show on television, top gear, internet et al. I have finally made up with the bike which I would love to possess..........

and it's YAMAHA 350 Torque Induction

Above shown is 70's model.......
The RD was produced from 1983 to 1990 in India. The production stopped due to higher running costs. It gave a mileage from 6 to 23 kmpl depending upon how well the bike was driven.

The USP's which I liked about this bike are:

  • Round Headlamps - Well personal choice.......I like it round, gives a retro look.
  • Rear view mirrors - Those round, stainless steel mirrors gives bike an awesome look.
  • Wheel Spokes - Alloys are definitely not on my list ...... doesn't look good on bikes at all.... traditional spokes rocks!
  • Design of fuel tank and seat - Reminds of the bike rode by Super Commando Dhruv, my childhood comic action hero.......the only difference, that bike had rectanglular head lamps........not bad either!
  • Front disc brakes - I and most of you would also agree that front disc brakes and rear drum brakes are a great combination! this '70s bike gives that....
  • Engine - A 30.5bhp@6,750rpm, 347 cc engine gives good enough power to enjoy your ride.......for non racing purpose!! just the perfect power it contains!
  • Twin silencer - Add style!
  • YAMAHA - The name says it all!!!
