The Bike I love!!!

Since early teenage, I am looking at bikes, all makes ......... to visualize one day I'll ride my own.
And now that I am exposed to quite many of them (I believe) through auto expo, bike show on television, top gear, internet et al. I have finally made up with the bike which I would love to possess..........

and it's YAMAHA 350 Torque Induction

Above shown is 70's model.......
The RD was produced from 1983 to 1990 in India. The production stopped due to higher running costs. It gave a mileage from 6 to 23 kmpl depending upon how well the bike was driven.

The USP's which I liked about this bike are:

  • Round Headlamps - Well personal choice.......I like it round, gives a retro look.
  • Rear view mirrors - Those round, stainless steel mirrors gives bike an awesome look.
  • Wheel Spokes - Alloys are definitely not on my list ...... doesn't look good on bikes at all.... traditional spokes rocks!
  • Design of fuel tank and seat - Reminds of the bike rode by Super Commando Dhruv, my childhood comic action hero.......the only difference, that bike had rectanglular head lamps........not bad either!
  • Front disc brakes - I and most of you would also agree that front disc brakes and rear drum brakes are a great combination! this '70s bike gives that....
  • Engine - A 30.5bhp@6,750rpm, 347 cc engine gives good enough power to enjoy your ride.......for non racing purpose!! just the perfect power it contains!
  • Twin silencer - Add style!
  • YAMAHA - The name says it all!!!

Bike Specifications (RD350B):
  • Top Speed - 160km/h
  • Climbing ability - 28º
  • Braking distance - 14m at 50 km/h
  • Engine - 2 stroke , Air cooled gasoline, Torque Induction, Parallel Twin cylinders, forward inclined, Twin Mikuni VM-28Autolube, 347cc

My Haseen!!!

That was unexpected, simply amazing, I lost myself for sometime ................. that too just before my GRE exam for which I was preparing for last 2 months.

After such grueling experience of mugging some 3000 odd words and giving mocks almost daily, yesterday was definitely one of the most important day in recent past. And it did was. At the test center in Gurgaon.....

I got to met such a wonderful girl, probably a girl of my dreams........I don't know.......my thinking senses are lost for some time.....ya, got them back!!.......
I kept looking at her and was looking for an opportunity to have a small chit-chat (you know how we guise are...[;)]) and then the next moment some arbit guy came with a booklet containing college codes which we have to fill after completion of exam. I rationally sensed that she was somewhat interested in exploring the booklet kept aside on the table which in turn is placed at the center of the room. I, without wasting any time took hold of the booklet gracefully, turned pages one by one while keeping it on the table so that she can see as well....[;)]

After a while, she also looked into it, as expected and finally i had a long awaited chit-chat........[:)][:)] We exchanged some GRE language like stuff....then some official from test center came and took us to the examination room............

After two and a half hours..........(after the test)

Now that I got my exam score and it was not more than 1210 out of 1600. Instead of thinking - " what I have done, a mere 1210.........wtf.......lowest in my batch till now!!!!", I thought - "well, am done with another mock and that was concluding!!!"
I looked into her exam seat and found out that she had already left, then I went to the locker room in search, nopes..........gone .... I collected my bag, watch etc. and left the room. While on my way, I come upon her again...[:)], I was delighted........She asked about my paper and I told her in dejection, 1210 (naahhhh I was somehow happy and wanted to show that I am desolate, you know why!!!), and asked her about the exam. She replied - 1170 and I was, I don't know what I was feeling - may be mixed bag......but she was fine with it or rather it seems to me that she remains calm and happy, always happy what so ever the situation might be, that's one of the reasons why I was flattered!!!!!!!!!
After some more conversation, I don't know why I left that place....may be I was getting late or I was feeling awkward thinking why a girl like her is talking to a guy like me (sometime it happens, but why today.....aww) ......[:(].....I just left saying good bye.........

{2 minutes walking}

...and then suddenly I realized what have I done!!!! Getting LATE!!! wtf .......it's only 8:30 pm, there is no World War going on, no Maoist attacks...........what the hell.........and in that arbit rush I even forgot to ask her name........so sad.......
I can only remember her in my dreams, I call her Haseen, My Haseen!!
